Twenty-Second Sunday after Pentecost, October 20, 2013:

The life of faith means that we might wrestle with God. Jesus commends to us the story of a widow who would not take no for an answer. And Paul commends to Timothy a life of persistence in proclaiming good news, even when the world may not be eager to hear it. We contend with God, and we find our peace when God assures us of our identity and blesses us. Come worship with us on Sunday with Holy Communion at St. Peter’s at 9:00am and at Messiah at 10:30am. Sunday School classes meet at Messiah at 9:15am and at St. Peter’s at 10:15am. If you can’t join us on Sunday, try Wednesday evening at 5:30pn at St. Peter’s. Prayer of the Day: O Lord God, tireless guardian of your people, you are always ready to hear our cries. Teach us to rely day and night on your care. Inspire us to seek your enduring justice for all this suffering world, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
