Ninth Sunday after Pentecost, July 21, 2013–

Stay alert! You might be entertaining God! Today we are introduced to people who hosted God in their homes, although they were not always aware of God’s presence. God comes close to us–even within us, as Paul exclaims.
On Monday the church remembers Mary Magdalene, who also was surprised by the risen Jesus and sent to share the good news of his resurrection with the disciples.
Join us for worship on Sunday with Holy Communion at St. Peter’s at 9:00am and at Messiah at 10:30am. Sunday School classes meet at Messiah at 9:30am and at St. Peter’s at 10:15am.
Prayer of the Day: Eternal God, you draw near to us in Christ, and you make yourself our guest. Amid the cares of our lives, make us attentive to your presence, that we may treasure your word above all else, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
