Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed, alleluia!
It is Holy Saturday, a liturgical eye of the storm in the Triduum.
Join us as we continue in the three-in-one and one-in-three services tonight at 7pm at St. Peter’s and then Sunday morning at either (or both) churches. Merciful God, your son was lifted up on the cross to draw all people to himself. Grant that we who have been born out of his wounded side may at all time find mercy in him, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen
Easter Triduum, Holy Triduum, Paschal Triduum, or The Three Days, is the period of three days that begins with the liturgy on the evening of Maundy Thursday and ends on Easter Sunday. It recalls the passion, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, as portrayed in the canonical Gospels. Join us in the three-in-one and one-in-three services tonight at 7pm at Messiah, Friday night at 7pm at St. Peter’s, and then Sunday morning at either (or both) churches. Father of all mercies and God of all consolation, come to the aid of your people, turning us from sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit, that we may attend to your Word, confess our sins, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of your son Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Redeemer. AMEN
